Why Navicella

the Practice of religion is our
chief business in life

god’s commandment

The practice of religion is the business which God commands us to attend to. Our purpose in this world is to know, love, and serve God. By believing what God has revealed, we know God. By knowing God, we can’t help but love him. By practicing what we learn and obeying God’s commands, we serve him. The intelligent man, to attain the kind of freedom humanly possible, should find out to which authority he must submit. He must discover which is the law. And this is why the rational man studies religion, to find out this fundamental law.

christ’s teachings

The study of Jesus Christ’s teachings of God and how to know, love, and serve Him, is the study of Religion. It’s the most important study anyone can undertake. Our salvation is much more important than a knowledge of physics, poetry, or history. All our science and knowledge, our wealth, and honors, will be pointless if we don’t save our soul. This pursuit, can’t be done casually; it needs thought and attention. And we can’t do it alone either- we need to listen to a good teacher.

Anytime, Anywhere

Navicella’s online catechism will present the fundamental aspects of the Catholic faith in an easy to understand and engaging format. The course will contain videos, interactive exercises, quizzes, and great works of Catholic art from throughout the centuries: all elegantly presented and easily accessible anywhere, any time.
